Water, Hygiene and Sanitation

RefCom’s Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation (WASH) Program is committed to improving the health and well-being of the Rabai community through access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education.

Water Tanks

Distribution of Water Tanks to Women’s Groups

RefCom recognizes the crucial role that women play in managing household water needs. To support this, we distribute water tanks to women’s groups, enabling them to store clean water safely. This reduces the burden of water collection and enhances household access to safe water.

Deworming

Deworming in Primary Schools

RefCom conducts deworming campaigns in primary schools to fight waterborne diseases and intestinal worms. These efforts improve children’s health, nutrition, and attendance. Hygiene education is also provided to prevent reinfection.

Medical Camp

Awareness and Medical Camps

RefCom organizes community awareness campaigns and medical camps offering health education, check-ups, and screenings. These initiatives raise awareness about hygiene and empower community members to make informed health decisions.

Community Health Promoters

Support for Community Health Promoters

RefCom supports and trains Community Health Promoters who educate peers on hygiene, sanitation, and health practices. By empowering them, we enhance local capacity to sustain health and sanitation efforts.

Through these initiatives, the WASH Program reduces waterborne diseases and fosters a culture of hygiene. By prioritizing clean water and education, RefCom helps build a healthier, more resilient Rabai community.
